How could so many of these enemies of America sit in the US Congress?

Because so many liberal Americans agree with their premises.

True ... but many also don't realize they are being lied to

As far as I concerned, the far left is as dangerous an enemy to the National Security of the United States as any islamic terrorist group out there, and they should be dealt with in the same manner as we deal with Al Qaeda.

My fantasy: Let all liberals live in an exclusive region of the country under their own guidelines. No surveillance of Al Quaida phones, no Patriot Act, no investigations worth salt of terrorists. Basically, open borders and “non-racist” immigration laws. Everything bilingual. Let this region live by every sanctimonious wish and law of the ACLU. No R.O.T.C. No heavy handed police, FBI, CIA, NSA. Let their President forever be that great warrior and defender Bill Clinton. May every facet of their defense be determined by the schmaltzy editorial board of the New York Times. Let the rest of we common sense/conservatives live in a separate region. I’m willing to live by the consequences of our beliefs, those of the pages of HUMAN EVENTS. Let liberals in their region reap what they sow. Want to bet who’ll be safer?

This was an excellent article and I thank you for posting it, Aussie Dasher. I especially like this particular section of it.

Aids, drugs and abortion is whittling their ranks in a steady progression.

Because so many Americans have fallen for the great Leftist lie: "To prepare to defend oneself is to invite attack." It's a modern, governmental variant of the ostrich sticking his head in the sand - only this ostrich sings "Kumbayah" and makes plans for a post-modernist socialist state with himself at the top, once all the lions realize the futility of it all and wither away. ;)

Michael Savage is right - liberalism is a mental disorder.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest.  The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation.  To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means." -- Thomas Jefferson to John Colvin, 1810

"There is a madness in today’s liberal thinking. It insists on policies that tie our hands to defend ourselves while giving free reign to the jihadists intent on killing us. It is dangerous because it is becoming the thinking, and law, of the land, as well as the Western world. "

Excellent article. If we don't heed the warning, this attitude will destroy us, literally. I hope President Bush will make this point in his SOTU tomorrow.

Thanks for posting that perfect Jefferson quote.

I am bookmarking it.

I wish the Republicans would pick it up and start repeating it every time they are on a talk show.

Exactly!

I thought the liberal mind-set was revealed about a year ago when Bill Clinton was talking about the United States having made much of the world upset recently. He said something to the effect of "we want to make sure that we create a world we can still live in when U.S. is not the most powerful country on earth."

The fact that Clinton even considered a world where U.S. is not the most powerful, revealed their thinking. For the sake of my children, and their children, I want the U.S. to always dominate the world.

(I'd appreciate if someone could find exact Clinton quote).

It's the same with gun control. When Bundy is coming through your window, which do you want in hand - the cell phone with speed-dial set for 911, or the Python with speed-loader set for .357?

DR.Jeckyl leftist lawyers and their Mr.Hide terrorist alter ego.

Let us face it: they want to protect terrorists from having to stand trials, in military tribunals and what not...

JUST AS THE TERRORISTS WANT TO BLOW THEMSELVES UP TO AVOID STANDING UP IN TRIAL

Fearing death, loss of territory and shame!

Two peas in a pod.

Unfortunately, when the terrorists start nuking leftists, it will be a bit too late for leftists to turn around and complain they don't want to stand such trials.

Frankly the terrorist's strategy is to kill the leftist very quickly without bothering other leftists too much.

Let all liberals live in an exclusive region of the country under their own guidelines.

I like this passage also except let their exclusive region be outside the US. Anything inside would benefit from the national security posture implemented by conservatives.

What the liberal left is setting themselves up for is a 'dirty war' in this country. They've been working at it for a long, long time. They're going to get their consequences, even if it wasn't quite what they had in mind.

Good point, kimosabe31, and I agree. May I suggest they find an exclusive region in Cuba? ;)

There is a madness in today’s liberal thinking.

I don't think its as bad now as it was in the 60's and 70's but they have always been here. Before being called liberals and when I was young they were called pacifists. Even during the revolution there was a large percent of the people who would not defend themselves. Just hope they never get in charge or they will get us all killed.
