It might help if Rush had ever called the Clines liars, or even made any statement to the effect that he did not buy drugs from them.

A simple statement by his doctors to the effect that they knew of his addiction, his concerns about it and his previous attempts to get clean, and that they were kept aware of the amounts and type of drugs prescribed by his other doctors would help also.

I think it gets a bit dangerous when we start probing into peoples medical records for public information. I'll take him on his word. I don't need a prosecutor to probe into someone's private medical record to tell me what I already know.

It's really difficult for someone that doesn't have knowledge of that first hand perspective to comprehend the helpless and utter unchecked partisan nature of the situation.
