Just playing the odds, that's all. I figure the types inclined to become part of some insane mob crush for a silly Moo ritual are more likely than most to be fanatics, or to breed fanatics.

Just playing the odds.

See, that's the deal. Jesus never "played the odds." He went to a Samaritan woman at the well, a prostitute, who should have had nothing to do with Him, while basically ignoring those who "should have been on His side." He spoke to the tax collectors, but spent little time with the "religious" people who should have received His message.

His commandments are clear: we are NOT to "play the odds" when it comes to viewing other humans as God-created who, as long as they live, can STILL come to an understanding of salvation. That certainly doesn't mean you don't have a deadly military, or that you take precautions, whether walking through "da hood," or through Mecca (I know, it's not allowed). My point is, I don't see a bunch of non-Americans, even those of cultures from whom often spring our enemies, as "better off dead." I see them as the potential SOLUTION to the problem. Imagine if a great one-time Muslim Christian evangelist could speak to his or her people with the same effectiveness that Smith Wigglesworth spoke to the English coal-miners, or that one-time Christian-hater Saul spoke to the Gentiles and the barbarian Greeks.
