It's just a miracle that Chaffee has been able to hang onto his seat as long as he has, same with Chaffee and Snowe. Maine is even more far left than R.I.

RI has a Republican governor, it's not such a wild idea.
Chaffee has sat on his assets and there he is. The trouble is, he thinks that he can continue to do so.
