It's amazing how in-denial-of-reality rank-and-file Dem activists are on this issue.

Then again, maybe not. They live in denial.

I know this, you know this, how many other know this?

My friends know this stuff, even the democrats I know are aware that tyhe money was spread across the board, and even if 90% of the money would have been given to Republicans that doesn't prove complicity. But the election cycle is beginning soon. How many people are out there that will be held sway by the media. There are alot of ill informed voters out there that vote a name because they know the name. If that name wrongly gets attached to criminal acts because they are a Republican those poorly informed voters may unwittinly vote a demorat in by voting a Republican out.

I guess, keep the people you know informed. I try to.

Now I'll have to see if I can find that FOX news interview with Howard (the Duck) Dean this weekend..

I'm pretty sure he stated categorically that no Dems recieved any such money..
( Maybe he meant direct Abramoff contributions..)

I sure hope he wasn't "parsing"..

I would strongly recommend Vince Flynn's "Term Limits". An outstanding book about money in politics and the bloated budget. A thriller.

Distinctions without a difference:
Democrats (et al); "We did not receive one penny from Abramoff - we got it from his clients."
John Kerry: "I don't own an SUV - the family does".

The 'spin' didn't work with Kerry, won't work with the Dems.

So what? Does this excuse the 'pubbies who took bribes? Let's get rid of our own scoundrels, not fall for an 'everybody does it' defense of them.

Leftists (there's nothing liberal about these people, as the staff of Washington Post has had a good opportunity to discover, should they be so inclined) hate truth like vampires hate light.

The funniest thing about this is the Washington Post's getting a black eye when truth accidentally penetrates the Leftist propaganda.

The more obvious the truth, the more energy required for its denial, and the more explosive the reaction when truth comes crashing through!

The result can be tragedy--Oedipus and Jocasta, Lear, MacBeth, for a few examples,

But the result can also be hilarious comedy. This Washington Post episode is a knee slapper to make fans of The Three Stooges and Lucille Ball roll in the aisles.

(They did some comedy together, by the way. It's a shame they couldn't have gotten in on the contemporary MSM shenanegans. There's just soooooooooo much material!)

Named by the NRSC as the worst examples of "Democrat hypocrisy" for taking money from Abramoff and his associates are:
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who received at least $68,941;
Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), who received at least $45,750;
Sen. Byron Dorgan, (D-N.D.) who received at least $79,300, and,
Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), who received at least $6,250

ABRAMOFF'S DELAWARE CONNECTION: Keep in mind that the names of Delaware Sens Joe Biden (of Judiciary anti-Alito fame) and Tom Carper surfaced on lists of federal lawmakers who received money, from the ubiquitous super-lobbyist Jack Abramoff at the center of the largest ever public corruption involving Congress and its staff members.

In brief, Abramoff and his cronies, including his aide, former Rehoboth Beach, Del lifeguard Mike Scanlon, ripped off Indian tribes seeking federal gambling licenses by playing them off each other and charging both sides millions for legal services. Carper showed up on a list produced by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, which has so far tracked almost $4.5 million in contributions to some 240 lawmakers. Carper's staff found about $7,000 in campaign money linked to Abramoff, which the senator first thought he'd keep because he's never met Abramoff or his partners.

Biden received only $1,250 (that we know of), which was a straight-up individual campaign contribution. The Biden money came from one of 1,500 lawyers -- yes, that's one thousand five hundred, a scary number -- who work at Greenberg Traurig LLP, Abramoff's old law firm. G-T has offices in London, Amsterdam, Atlanta, Brussels, Chicago, New York, Zurich, Los Angeles. And, of course, Wilmington, Del.

Here's how to follow through:
