Just saw Frist on Meet the Press. He said the election of Hamas represents the desire of the Pali's to get rid of the cronyism and corruption of the PA and not a desire for the destruction of Israel. At least Frist said that unless Hamas recognizes Isreal and renounces the destruction of Israel, not a penny of U.S. cash will be going there. Right now, the U.S. was going to provide a quarter billion dollars to the Pali's but it will be cut off if Hamas doesn't change.

The only saving grace is that now everyone will be able to see the boil that needs to be lanced. Hamas will run Palestinians into the Neolithic. They wanted to have their own way, well, here ya go. So, actually, democracy has worked and the Palestinians get what they want, self destruction.
