Being an amateur cartoonist myself I get the dicotomy you face between extra pub vs. sapping of ad revenue, but complaining about Pookie18 posting your stuff while you're posting your stuff sounds a lot like hypocrasy.

No, no... I'm not complaining at all! I'm trying to be ultra-careful to avoid that, as a matter of fact.

What I'm trying to do is suggest a different way of doing it, regardless of who does it. See, at some point the syndicates and my network are going to notice the bandwidth drain and issue cease-and-desist letters. Even the indie cartoonists may be paying for their own bandwidth, and this creates a similar dilemma for them. I'm trying to find a nice, friendly way of pointing all of this to a different outcome.

Posting a comic every once in a while is fair use, but posting entire archives is a problem. But this isn't a complaint, I'm trying to be informational.

Why is it hypocrisy? If I own something and want to give it away for free, it should be me that's deciding the when and how much. If I wrote a book and decided to donate 100 copies to libraries, it doesn't mean that everyone else is suddenly free to make copies and give it away.
