I read the same basic critique of the original King Kong back in the 70's. It's been a very popular interpretation among the arts and croissant crowd for years, although they didn't used to curse in their reviews nearly as much.

Isn't THAT the truth. But it considered chic in many circles to speak as if you came from "The Hood". If you are a black person, and you speak like Thomas Sowell instead of someone like the aptly named "Ludacris", you better prepare yourself for a character assasination from people who look like you.
