Neither do I. It's the people who think we OWE it to them that pi$$ most of us off. Most of us are sick and tired of hearing the whining coming from people who didn't have the brains to get themselves out of the way of a hurricane.
For years, the people of NO have sat back and let the politicians do everything for them, all the while screwing them out of the money the state did get from the federal government.
And now they want us to make it ALL RIGHT RIGHT NOW; well, too bad for them is what I say.
Yes, I live in a hurricane state; a state that is hit by more hurricanes or some portions of hurricanes than any other one -- and we don't sit on our butts and wait for FEMA to come and make it all right; our governor, a DEMOCRAT, was all over the last storms that hit us.
People need to grasp the fact that they LOST EVERYTHING and move on.
BTW, you really should read THIS article to get the full feeling for how the rest of the country feels about NO or THIS one to put some perspective on what the facts actually are.
You must not be hanging around with the right people, because even here on FR we had a LOT of Freepers who have been damaged by more than one hurricane, and yet they manage to pull themselves up by the boot straps and none of them are whining about what they're not getting.
That's nice. And I hope if anything ever happens to me I will be able to pull myself up by my own bootstraps.
Doesn't change the fact that, like it or don't, the law is the law. I am not casting aspersions on your emotions. They just don't matter in a court of law.
