I teach at a large public high school. The boys I see are in a lot of trouble. There's been a ghettoization of middle class WHITE male culture. Their heros are often convicts. They want to be tough and feared. They are often uninterested in education. They see school as a place to get girls and get into trouble.
I notice most of these boys don't have fathers at home. Mom often has a boyfriend and he's the only role model they have.
