9 mm is garbage, just ask those FBI agents who were shot through car doors i Miami while their 9mm were bouncing of the perps car doors.

Stop physically dumbing down the military and police by forcing them to maintain troops of lesser statue (you can read this as little girls if you'd like), and then train the rest to use this quite low recoil (ever shoot a .454 Casull or a .44 magnum for that matter. .45 ACP is a cakewalk in comparison)

You lose accuracy with a heavier round.

The 9mm is not garbage. I can stop someone with a 9mm just as fast as I can with a .45.

Now your little girl comment, I take exception to. when my oldest daughter was 10 she started firing my 1911 .45 made by springfield armory. At the time she was about 4'6" and weighed about 60 lbs yep a little girl. I would let her fire 2-3 clips when we went out shooting. after abut 5 trips she could keep 6 out of 7 on a paper plate at 25 feet not long range but she got better with age ,size and practice. My experience with the .45 is that those who practice do good those who do not practice do poorly.

How about chamering them for a long Colt cartridge? Make them do more push ups? Sounds good to me...

Agreed. The .45 is the most versatile round out there. Just issue subsonic rounds for the girls.

There are certain 9 loads that are every bit as effective as the .40 and .45. To say its "garbage" is either idiotic or ignorant.

And the FBI agents in Miami were also using .357 and .38 revolvers. The Agents killed were hit by .223 rounds in the chest and head, while the others who survived were hit in other parts of the body by the same caliber. .223 has its faults, but if shot in the head or chest with it, you are much more likely to die than if shot in the arm with it.

In other words, where the agents were hit with the rounds had more to do with them getting killed or just being injured than what handgun they were using. I know many police officers that choose the 9 over other loads they could carry if they desired. Although some agencies (Sec. Service comes to mind) have made the switch to the .357Sig, among others, not all agents dumped their 9. There are a LOT of Sig 228s out there.
