Fox News Channel has grabbed former CNN family member Rudi Bakhtiar as a general correspondent.
Bill Shine, senior VP of programming at Fox News, said in the announcement Wednesday that, "Rudi's experience anchoring and reporting from around the world make her a great asset to Fox."
During the past decade, Ms. Bakhtiar's assignments for the CNN news group had included intern, video journalist, segment producer, anchor for CNN Headline News and contributor to prime-time CNN shows.
Ok, thanks. My understanding is Prime Minister Bakhtiar was hunted down in his Paris exile and beheaded.
Glad we won't have to worry about her being a media apologist for the regime.
And they let Heather Neuert get away. I hear her on ABC radio at the top of the hour.
found confirmation on google: http://www.diggersrealm.com/mt/archives/000997.html
Without a doubt, she's the hottest babe on the news. Not only that, she seems to have a brain as well. Good score for FNC.
Bakhtiar is a pretty common name in Iran.
I was going to complain about FNC hiring another CNN reject, but then I saw her posted picture. All is forgiven, I'll just mute the sound if she starts spouting CNN liberal garbage.
Does that necessarily mean that she is a Republican just because she was honored by a Republican group? I mean, I'd like to think that Fox may be making some good decisions and not hiring just a bunch of libs as they seem to have been doing lately! Hopefully she will be fair and not have any agenda. People seem to be leaving CNN in droves! I'd like to see Lou Dobbs join Fox. His is the only show I watch on that network. I love his immigration stuff.
It was interesting to read the other day that a classmate of Kiran Chetry's at Montgomery Blair High School in Maryland said that she was one of the most left-leaning Democrats that he knew, and that while not overtly partisan, always sided with the blue states on issues more than the red states. Well, it's easy to see that she certainly hasn't changed any! Maybe Rudi can join the weekend show and add a little more balance to it. It's become unwatchable lately.
I'll give Ms. Bakhtiar a chance at Fox. She can't be any worse than those lib gals they've got there now.
John Gibson and Brit Hume.......if not for them, there wouldn't be much incentive to watch FNC.
I will watch this excellent choice with the mute button depressed, no unwanted distractions... like having a cogent thought. I confess, this is not always about political intercourse.
If a person is a member of an organization they're a member of the message. She's a member.
she just did a report on Pakistan, about how the US plans to increase use of predator attacks.
she has her hair pulled back on FNC, and she needs more lip gloss to fit in with the rest of the FNC infobabes.
Thanks for clarifying that for me! Perhaps a sound decision by Fox after all!
If you guys don't behave yourselves, I will go join PINK
She needs her own show....
Rudi is another reason Fox News should go high definition.
She needs to stop pulling her hair back.
My son is in love with her; I can't wait to tell him.
Wow!!--a new Foxbabe!! ;-)
Your son has competition. I am absolutely delighted to see her on Fox. Have been in withdrawal since she was moved off Headline News. She was the only reason I ever turned CNN on.
Fox is becoming CNN. Fox didn't beat CNN by recruiting their 'journalists'. They did it with fresh faces and new ideas on reporting.
This will spell disaster for Fox, just wait and see. You can already tell it from the slant of the reporting.
