Maldonado's statement was shockingly incredulous, even for a partisan.
If Maldonado should become California's Controller be very afraid.

I just remembered that Maldonado is the one carrying the legislation for the Minimum Wage increase.

Which leads to the obvious question:

Now that the CAGOP's ploy to support at least one conservative for statewide office has so obviously failed to mollify the grass roots, when will they pull the financial plug?

During the primary? During the summer campaign? Will they surreptitiously help recruit a last minute opponent in the primary? Should he win, in spite of their best efforts, will they relegate him to ceremonial activities and ban him from the inner circle?

These are the questions that conservatives need to ask Sundheim in San Jose next month.
