The most Republican area in New Orleans was Lakeveiw and it was wiped off the map. The only areas that are currently up and running are strong democratic areas.

But how many registered voters are actually living there?
As far as Lakeview goes, don't you think most of those residents will return after they rebuild? If so then they'll probably take the time and effort to find out how to vote absentee or return to the area on voting day. On the news here I see and hear alot about Lakeview residents keeping in touch and staying active in what's going on.

My problem w/ the voter canvassing is that they want to get people registered to vote that are living in other cities and states and were never registered or never voted when they did live in N.O....how corrupt is that! I think the validity of any N.O (or statewide election for that matter) will be in serious doubt.
