To be honest, I enjoyed Mork's outrageous performances more than Mindy's bod. She was a cutie to be sure, but I never really had the hots for her. There were hotter chicks on the toob, Farah Fawcett comes to mind (gawd, what headlights!).
I don't have a man crush on Robin Williams or anything like that, but it was just so new, akin to John Belushi's performances on the original SNL.
They broke the mold with Robin Williams. I hate his politics, but he's still one of the best improvisational comics around.
It didn't hurt that I bore a passing resemblance to Williams (minus the gorilla suit and diminutive stature).
It was just such a whacky show that for a college kid who only had access to network shows (I think it might have even been before cable), that I was captivated.
Just as an instance, I'm a big fan of Dennis Miller, i.e. smart comics.
