He would need a congressional mandate but fed. border control officers have doubled. You cannot put federal troops in a state without that states permission. Each state is responsible for its own borders. Each state has guard units it can use if they wish. There is a bill in congress to build a fence if passed. Bush did not open the border, it has been open over a 100 years. Bush can only propose and his proposals have not been acted upon. Congress has the responsibility for action and the cost of any such action.

They have crossed the border for over a hundred years and no one has stopped them. It is not new. The US had a policy of open borders. This policy is being debated in the public and will be changed if, and when congress changes law, makes new law, or enforces old law and aproves the money for such.

It is public knowledge but was withheld for 20 years by a act of congress pertaining to national security. You can read it. More than a 1000 books and investigations have been written and conducted to prove or disprove their findings. There is no empirical proof disproving the commission's findings. Other than minor variances using the latest technology most concur that their finding's are essentially correct. Their are other opinions but they are not borne out by facts but only opinion.

Maybe because when compared with other witness's, empirical evidence and fact they were not creditable. No testimony was denied or ignored that was presented. Whether it was believable or not, after reviewing thousand's of others testimony, is in the judgment of those doing the investigation.

They have not been repressed or ignored. In fact they have been investigated extensively and continue to be investigated. While I would like to see new evidence or facts none has been forthcoming and anyone acquiring new facts or evidence would be famous. Able Danger is interesting and probable, however without the chart there is no proof that it existed. That is not to say that more evidence can knot be found but until then the suppositions and opinions of a few will not overcome those of the many.
