Because, being embedded means that we (OIF forces) are responsible for their safety. We even treat the third country nationals that get hit by IED's when they are driving for KBR.

Think about it the same way you think about the relief efforts in Pakistan. Our troops are still there delivering relief supplies by the Chinook-load. All in the hopes that the future generations will think differently than the current generations.

I've had my soldiers, contractors, TCN's and others that we were responsible for, get hit by IED's. When that happens everyone does their most to deliver the best medical care possible. It will never be any other way.
