An Iraqi air force general with information on Saddams weapons of mass destruction is scheduled to meet with Senators Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) and James Inhofe (R-Okla.) next week. It seems that the Iraq WMD controversy is about to crack open once more. In a book titled Saddams Secrets, Gen. Georges Sada claims that Saddam Hussein moved weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) to Syria prior to the American invasion. According to Sada, two cargo aircraft made 56 flights to Syria. They were carrying yellow barrels with skull and crossbones on each barrel. There was also a truck convoy.
Sada is not the first person to make this claim. On 23 December 2002, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon publicly stated, Chemical and biological weapons which Saddam is endeavoring to conceal have been moved from Iraq to Syria. Last month, former Israeli Defense Force chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Moshe Yaalon, claimed that Saddam Hussein moved chemical weapons to Syria six weeks before American forces entered Iraq.
American officials have also commented on this information. After searching for WMDs in Iraq, U.S. weapons inspector David Kay said, There is ample evidence of [weapons] movement to Syria before the war satellite photographs, reports on the ground of a constant stream of trucks, cars, rail traffic across the boarder. Kay also said the Syrian government was not cooperative in helping us resolve this issue. In August, 2004, National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice (now Secretary of State) said, We still dont have clarity about what role Syria may have played in the movement of weapons one way or another before the war.
The Syrians, of course, deny any receipt of Iraqi WMDs. But their denial is not credible. The Syrian regime is a totalitarian dictatorship with close ties to Moscow and Tehran. Like Russia and Iran, Syria is helping the insurgency in Iraq. And so far, the United States has been unwilling to confront Moscow on its connivance According to Bill Gertz, writing in the Washington Times on Oct. 28, 2004, Russian special forces troops moved many of Saddams weapons and related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the March 2003 U.S. military operation .
The battle in the Middle East is not against a rogue regime or two. The battle is against a Russian-led alliance that refrains from publicly announcing its own existence. The longstanding coordination between Baghdad, Damascus, Tehran and Moscow should be famous. But who wants to acknowledge the truth? Who dares to understand? Even the president doesnt want to admit what the U.S. is up against in Iraq. And here comes an Iraqi general with information about Iraqi WMDs going to Syria. What chance does the poor man have?
For nearly three years Gen. Sada has kept silent, fearing for the safety of his family. Now Sada has written a book, and Americas enemies are watching to see how U.S. officials react. In other words, Sadas testimony is a kind of indicator. If it is used by the administration to vindicate the Iraq invasion, then it follows that President Bush is ready to move against Syria and Iran. But if President Bush and his advisors ignore Sadas testimony, it is a sign that the administration is worn out by criticism and incapable of smashing Americas enemies.
Are you going to join in the discrediting of any information that might justify the Iraq war?
bump
NO!
After listening to Iraqi defectors talking about WMD and how they would produce them once Saddam and his sons were neutralized, and it not happening you get discouraged.
Also when we found what looked like wmd components the Bush adminisration said it was agricultural chemicals etc.
Frankly I don't pay attention anymore to Iraqi's peddling WMD stories.
I think the Iraq war can be justified without WMDs in the mix. - Tom
Interesting. Seems the general is trying to shill for his book, but because his supposition supports the administration, it's accepted as fact. I'll wait hourly to see how much even Fox 'News' covers this 'breaking story'. Wonder if they'll be accused of being part of the MSM now when they won't pick up this literal hogwash either...
.
It takes time for 52 flights of a air cargo freighter 747 to transfer WMD's from Iraq to Syria.
It takes just as much time for us to have to go to the UN first before invading Iraq.
T'was HILLARY, KERRY & TED KENNEDY's constant media calls for BUSH to go to the UN first before acting that gave SADDAM time to load and fly 52 747's over to Syria.
T'is HILLARY, KERRY & TED KENNEDY who are now calling for a Senate fillibuster against Supreme Court nominee ALITO.
The enemy is now within...
and always has been.

Only for the reason that you gain more by keeping it under wraps than by exposing it. There may be much bigger fish out there to fry that haven't been caught yet.
Ahhh, is this going to be like that super beyond belief breaking next month report we all expected for what 7-8 months back in '04 that never came along from the adminstration and finally just faded into oblivion?
Been hearing about those 'documents' for a good 2-3 years. US departments of intelligence must have the slowest translators in the history of man working for them..
Probaby buried deep underground in concrete bunkers. As I understand it, you must neutralize biological/chemical weapons with extreme heat. Can't just blow them up the normal way because that would be the same as releasing them.
An imminent thread calls for an imminent destruction.
Do we know where in Syria where this weapons are? If not nuke the entire ME.
If they're there, I'm betting we know where they are. And I'll bet that area is under surveillance 24/7. It's not like your everyday Joe can do anything with them. They need to be weaponized and loaded into a delivery system. That would never be permitted to occur if we're watching them.
If it's known where they are and that area is being watched, there are reasons why. Main one being that we want to see who shows up to claim them.
Also please take a look at the map in post#34 of my thread
According to the general they are in Damaskus
Time is up. This would dovetail well with the same message to Iran and perhaps force them to see the light. It should be an air campaign from 40,000 feet with unimaginable bombings. Killing hundreds of thousands may save millions.
>What better way to hide the WMD then to move them out of the country in the disguise of humatarian aid.
If he truly had WMDs he would have used them. He didn't use them, ergo there were/are none.
Unfortunately the lefties would actually buy such a ridiculous explanation.....anything to justify their hatred of Bush
You also need a 500,000-soldiers invasion force to occupy the country and search for the weapons, if any.
Cut a deal with Assad to produce the WMDs or cut Assads throat. He wants to stay in power. The USA cannot dismantle the entire muslim world, but we can reach out and touch them if they do not deal. Don't you think so?
He did HAVE them because he used them against his own people. He bluffed and we called his bluff. He had no idea we were actually going to come in after him. The rapid dissolution of the Iraqi army bore that out. He actually thought he could BS us yet again. He thought that we would call the dogs off, then he could move the WMD back into Iraq. He was stupid.
