Good posting.

John Shadegg is the best man for the job, as he represents a break from the discredited way things are currently done. Roy Blunt is same cart, new driver. Boehner is not hugely different from Blunt, but would represent a slight improvement.

The date should be January 25, 2006.

Not the 28th as I incorrectly posted.

I would prefer Shadegg in principle.

Boehner would be more practical because of his better coordination skills in getting agenda worked on and passed.

Blunt will spend like an idiot. He is out of control.

He needs 117 votes on the first ballot.

Tally so far of commitments.
Blunt - 100 Votes
Boehner - 48 Votes
Shadegg - 13 Votes
Undecided - I think 67 Votes.

If Blunt loses on first ballot
