Barbarians can't be "civilized" by democratic means. The so-called Palestinians aren't "peace loving like me and you", as GWB likes to claim. That is not to say that Muslims can't be civilized. They certainly are in Turkey for instance. But the Palestinians, who are pretty much all terrorists, are a different breed.
I would bet most Muslims don't read the Koran to any depth. Just like there are many Christians who haven't read the New Testament in its entirety. What both groups get are selected blurps interpreted by a religious leader. The getting Infidel blood on your hands part is glossed over.
I have the same interpretation of the Koran as Zarqawi. More Muslims will come to the conclusion of Zarqawi if the Koran is made mandatory reading and the Mullahs inspire the Muslims to carry out the violence required.
This problem with the Muslims, can't go away, because at any time an individual Muslim can read the Koran and come away with inspiraion to kill Infidels.
The so-called moderates in Turkey could be swung toward the bloody interpretation of the Koran by Mullahs who are not afraid to preach the Koran and Hadith as written.
There is no compromising with people who believe they are doing Allah's work on this earth to gain eternal salvation in paradise.
Unfortunately we are going to have to poison the religion by corrupting the Muslim women with decadent western values and kill those Muslims who are actively fighting against western civilation. - Tom
