Come here, Canada; let's kiss and make up. I knew all along that those parasites were driving you crazy. Me too! Do you suppose DDT would get rid of them once and for all? Maybe we both just need a good bath--with Quell Soap--to make us Leftist-free. Or maybe it's a self-terminating infestation. At least we know what the problem is.
Washington Post forgets PM John Howard from Australia. Anti-Kyoto, Pro-Iraq War, Pro Tax Cuts, Conservative governing Australia with a majority in the parliment. His party could pretty much do as they please.
"As for Mr. Martin, perhaps he will be tempted again by the example of Mr. Schroeder, who has taken a job as an agent for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Does Hugo Chavez need another lobbyist?"
This came from the Wash. Post? I about fainted.
Portugal and Poland both elected conservatives recently as well.
I confess I am a bit surprised by the kicker at the end of this editorial:
"As for Mr. Martin, perhaps he will be tempted again by the example of Mr. Schroeder, who has taken a job as an agent for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Does Hugo Chavez need another lobbyist?"
I guess the ComPost editors just couldn't resist.
Oops, I missed your post. Clearly I agree with it.
LOL. VERY uncharacteristic of the Post.
Why did they wait until their Saturday paper, when the election was on Monday?
Oh, wait....I know.
Yep. No one will read it, but it's still shocking.
I'm shocked that the MSM has barely expounded on this phenomenon.
Harper must be real good the way Al "Psycho" Gore tore into him.
The headline for this piece is the exact take away I got from the Canadian election. I was amazed at the outcome seeing that their press is even more anti-American than ours.

Actualy when it comes to foreign affairs the Post has been fairly even handed to the Bush administration. They do get the fact that we are at war, unlike the New York Times which has nothing but bile and venom for this president. The Post supported invading Iraq.
For what its worth, Chretien went to work for Petro-Kazakhstan, a Canadian oil company that operates mostly in Kazakhstan. Again, for whatever its worth, PK supplies oil to Iran under a swap agreement.
I believe Chretien's daughter is married to the biggest shareholder in what used to be called TotalFinaElf. That's one reason he was so strongly opposed to the Iraq war. Probably there's some connection or affiliation between the companies.
