Hitlery is in Oregon tonight at the Portland Hilton for a fund raiser. Thought she was presently running for an office representing New Yorkers, not sure why she's coming here. Oregon Dems are a bit uptight about it, figuring she'll be siphoning money that ought to be going to Oregon candidates right now. Oh well that's how the cookie crumbles I guess.
But back to our story. She's backing a filibuster of Alito's confirmation vote. Her and not quite enough other Dems to accomplish anything but making themselves out to be nitwits and exactly nothing more. Ho hum. Our leftist Eugene Red Guard even editorialized that the Senate should confirm Alito without a fuss. Said if the Dems wanted their type of dude (or dudette) on the high court they should have run an electable candidate for President. Made more sense than anything I've read in their editorial column since, well, ever I'm pretty sure.
Not sure why Newsday stuff gets posted here. Such meaningless drivel.

I imagine nearly every Democrat except for those three who have already announced that they will vote for Alito's confirmation, plus, of course, the seven Democrats from the "Gang of Fourteen", will support the bogus filibuster attempt in order to appease the socialist lunatic fringe, ie., the Democrat "base". That's no more than 35 votes - - not even close.

I think Hillary is trianulating badly. She knows there won't be a filibuster so she can vote against cloture and say she will filibuster, but it is safe because there are enough votes for cloture. In her thinking she pleases everyone.

This is advantageous. Clinton isn't just pandering to her base, she's allowed her arrogance to govern her leadership abilities. She obviously thought her stance would rally other Democratic Senators to join her, and the opposite is taking place.
If she ever were a serious candidate for president, a question must be asked. If she could not lead her own party, how could she possibly work with a hostile Congress comprised of Republicans and a sizable number of Democrats to lead an entire nation?

It is FUN watching Shrillary dropping acid with the Moveon Birkenstockers in her tattered jeans, then scrambling over to the DLC in her business fatsuit to screech about doubling the military in Iraq.
Little does she know that the security cameras, in the form of the blogosphere, are chronicling her every waddle and beaming it to countless popcorn-munching conservatives.

The fact is that we are presently about 6 months from a near certain thermomuclear exchange and these senators are more concerned with sticking it to "the man" then they are in protecting the lives of their own children.
In that sense the democrats are no different from the Palestinians. Their hatred for Jews is greater then their love for their own children. In this case these senators' hatred for Bush is greater than their love for their own children.
These senators are ready to fiddle while America burns.

"History will show that Judge Alito's nomination is the tipping point against constitutionally-based freedoms and protections we cherish as individuals and as a nation," Clinton wrote in a statement during a fundraising stop in Seattle. The loser, Madame Hamhocks, makes this absurd statement in the losing Super Bowl city.
How appropriate.

Clinton to support Alito filibuster Why would Scumbagette, wife of Scumbag, support a man of impeccable credentials, a brillian mind, and receiver of the highest possible recommendation from the ABA, when Scumbagette is a lying opportunist and has such a filthy, slimy record of deceit and corruption?
