Holy cow, that's right up the street from me!!!
My uncle used to own Robbie the Robot's car.
Well, as any long-time Arlingtonite would know, this probably means nothing. I grew up in Arlington, and knew guys who blew up trees and abandoned buildings out of sheer boredom. In between explosions, they would go to the Trinity River and shoot Alligator Gar with 22's.

Police Investigate Devices In Arlington Hotel Room
(CBS 11 News) The Fort Worth Bomb Squad was called out to the InTown Suites in South Arlington on Friday night to investigate two devices believed to be pipe bombs.
Officials say that a man checked into an extended stay suite several days ago and died in the hospital. Authorities entered his room to clear out his belongings and found the first device. It is described as a metal pipe with plastic end caps, pieces of wire and a remote control attached.
A second similar device was then found in the trunk of a nearby car.
The suites were evacuated immediately. The bomb squad plans to retrieve and detonate both devices.

Why did he die?
Why did he die?
Article doesn't say.
Yeah I know. Just wondering if it was work related?
Actually that is NOT Robbie the Robot's car. My uncle was a big antique car dealer. None of that fake plastic stuff ... it was a real car.
QAnd your photo ... this one ... is not Robbie.
One of the bombs has been detonated.
Just round the corner from me.
Update: looks like the robot detonated the device. It blowed up real good.
Apparently on I-20?
