denise, sorry for your loss. but seriously, what does this have to do with an obligation "to children and society?" lay off the buzz-words. articulate your point or don't try to make one. a school renamed itself after a famous alumni. happens all the time.
Johnnie Cochran is famous for getting even the most obviously guilty double-murderer off the hook. I think Denise has good reason to gripe. Besides, there are plenty of very famous people who never get schools named after them. Ted Bundy comes to mind.
