I see you're in Wisconsin. I noticed polls show Queen Kohl (as in Senator) is in big trouble and is tied with his Republican opponent! Get out the vote this fall for Kohl's opponent so we can take that seat! I would love to make it a 4 in a row, Bush-at-the-helm election victory for the GOP just to rub the Dems' noses in it after all the gloating and self-delusion they've been engaging in assuming the elections this fall are theirs. I've heard this every election since 2000 and every time we've cleaned their clocks. Let's give them one more!

These numbers stink. He has to continue to campaign to be effective.

*Scratching Head* You'll have to show me what you're talking about as far as a challenege to Kohl. The only rumblings are that our former Governor Tommy Thompson may challenge him, but he's being awfully quiet about it, if he is. So far, he's beating Kohl as a write-in on some polls, but Thompson isn't running as far as I know. It's 10 months out, and he hasn't formally announced. I know he just took a big-buck job in the private sector for some micro-chip company.

Senator Feingold isn't being challenged either, as far as I know.

We do have local businessman Dave Magnum running against Tammy Baldwin, our CongressLesbian, for her seat in the House, and two strong contenders in Walker & Green (both R) who want to run against our current Dimowit governor, "Diamond Jim" Doyle.

Other than that, a challenge to Kohl is news to me, so spill the beans! :)

The information I had came from the Wall Street Journal and their battleground poll. It polled Kohl against "Thompson" which I'm guessing must be Tommy Thompson. I had no idea who that was at the time, but now based on your reply I see who it is. Darn! And Tommy Thompson hasn't announced? Is there any sign he's interested?

Anyway, if you want more information on the poll you can try the link below, but you may have to be a subscriber to the online WSJ. It has some other interesting Senate polls, like the fact we're winning in New Jersey! But Pennsylvania looks grim and I'm worried about Ohio:

Keep me informed if you hear Tommy Thompson may run!
