Perhaps it's only the mentally challenged (or the very young) who believe that the "it's just a joke" disclaimer somehow erases the stupidity of what went before...
Everyone knows that it was a joke - the point is that it was not an acceptable joke to tell in public (and would be tasteless in private as well, for that matter)...
Hear, hear...
Someone had to do it!
P.S. You can order this poster form Young Americans for Freedom.
You are so right!
Oh this was the Rich Lowry fallout. She wailed "censorship", which is hilarious as she is supposed to understand how the private sector works.
After years of stating that liberals only have name calling, that's what she devolved to, calling Rich and Jonah "girlymen".
She tanked her credibility.
One more like that and it's the ABUSE button.
Actually, that IS funny.
"Was it Maxine Waters or Julianne Malvou(?) who wished that Vice President Cheney would eat lots of butter and fat so he would die of a heart attack???.."
It was Maleveaux and it was Judge Thomas ,not Cheney.
:-) Good luck to her then. I see something different, but if she finds a market, good for her.
Well, Ann certainly does have a talent for tossing out hand grenades to bait the MSM, doesn't she?
I bet she's sitting around right now giggling and googling to see how many lefty bloggers go nuts over that little gem...
I didn't hear the remark, but in my view, Ted vis-a-vis Chappaquidick is fair game. It doesn't ever get mentioned in the Antique Media, the way it would if a conservative had killed his mistress.
I didn't know Ann Coulter had a crack cocaine problem. I'm glad it's pretty much over.
LOL! Yes it is funny!
Bet she is too!
LOL Wrong poster.
It is funny
That comment was made immediately after the 9-11 terrorist attacks, in which her friend Barbara Olson was killed. I don't think Ann trying to make a joke, I think she was justifiably furious. I don't know if she actually believes what she said, but I never heard her retract it.
Her "poison Stevens" comment has no similar justification. It is one of those jokes that isn't really a joke, like Alec Baldwin calling for Henry Hyde to be stoned to death.
I know that Ann has to say outrageous things, it is part of her job description, but she should be more creative than this.
I thought so too and it was just implied that I was "wound too tightly." So be it. She should have used better judgement.
Her act is getting a tad old.
I'm glad I'm not the only conservative to think so.
Oh great - I was hoping someone would point out the "Justice Stevens rule".......
Wish I could find that thread from yesterday about liberals having no sense of humor...
It would be nice for Stevens, Ginsburg and the rest to retire but no one should want to see them dead.
