They are simply playing to their base.

"Yes, Mr. Whack Job, you are important. We listen to you. Bush is evil." You would think an election was coming up or something.

Hellary lost the whackos long ago, never had them, actually. She has decided to remake herself as a moderate, depending on the DLC and her heavy contribution money to get her the nomination.

This is going to be quite the fight, the Beast vs the Wuss, vs the Lockbox.

If anybody set him up for this it's his wacky wife. She probably tells him she'll toss him over for Al Gore if he doesn't put her in the White House pretty soon.
Seriously, part of Kerry's motivation must be to slow the momentum Gore got on MLK Day after that speech. Dems were served the red meat that day and they started reconsidering Gore's political viability.
Plus Terazza---Taser'er---whatever, really does want to buy herself a big white house from which to rule the world. And she calls the shots. (*hic*)

This guy has the political instincts of Jimmy Carter.

Of Albert Arnold Gore, even!

I've been informed that there was a unanimous consent agreement regarding the time table of these events.
That agreement renders the senate rules moot so my previous reply is in error. My apologies.

She has decided to remake herself as a moderate

A moderate who just happens to reliably vote Left all of the time.

Agreed. I should have said, "She has decided to disguise herself as a moderate, which she is not"

No, They can't. The Unanimous Consent agreement reached yesterday was NOTWITHSTANDING any other provision in Rule 22, if the cloture vote passes at 4:30 Monday, the confirmation vote WILL BE on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Rhetorical question along the lines of When a tree falls in a forest with no one around does it still make a sound?

Does Hitlery's transparent deception about moderation still deceive given how absolutely no one, not her rabid barking moonbat minions, nor conservatives, nor Old Media actually believes her?
