OK, OK.. before any of the Posting police complain that this isn't really BREAKING NEWS, I agree..But it's just toooo delicious not to share with you all...What a great way to start the weekend.....and the callers on the Dem lines should be a real eye opener....

Early this week, Molly Ivins, the ultra liberal columnist, penned a column on why Hillary was the wrong nominee for the Dems in 2008. That's the topic of discussion for the program today...

And I can't wait to hear what those on the Democrat support line have to say about Hillary..

"Bill from Chappaqua, you're on C-span , on the Support Democrats line..Go ahead, caller....."

And to add further insult to the Countess of Chappaqua, today John Murtha..the current darling of the left...said that he thinks that Hillary will propably be the nominee, but that she can't win the election....

Hmmm..notice a trend developing here, folks?

First Cindy, then Molly, now Murtha....no wonder Kerry is flying back from Davos to launch a filabuster..Ya think that Hillary will be asked to support it?

And there's this week's devastating Gallup poll, stating that 51% of voters will NOT vote for Hillary...

Notice also that there have been like, well, ZERO defenders of Hillary out on the airways...normally, they try to refute and spin these things immediately..

Note: Modesty forbids me from reminding all of you that several times last fall I wrote here that's it probably close to even money that she WON'T run for the WH..If she can't have the nomination handed to her on a plate..annointed, as it were..she won't want to spend the winter tramping through the snows and cold of Iowa and New Hampshire, fending off attacks on bith her right and left flanks....I was castigated and ridiculed, but now....?

Serious and Important question for y'all: Watching our magnificent President at the press events and the Q&A's with the audiences the last few weeks, ( some "bubble", eh?)....as a fairly serious observer of all things Hillary, I'm trying to recall if ever since she announced her candidacy for the Senate in 2000, until yesterday, has she ever held ONE honest old fashioned press conference..where she just stood there and took questions from the assembled media....she's done carefully staged and managed event forums, and radio interviews with approving hosts..but I don't think the media has ever had a traditional press conference with her...If anyone has any info please post it..

I have to go return some phone calls...can anyone please post links to the Ivins and Murtha columns?....

I never thought she'd win the nomination. However, if it would help, we could all register as Dems for the primary season and work our fannies off to get her on the ticket.

I loved Jonah Goldberg's comment about Hillary in his yesterday's column:

"Hillary's idea of improvisation is to leap from a prepared speech to prepared notecards."

What kind of courage does it take, for mercy's sake? The majority of the American people (55 percent) think the war in Iraq is a mistake and that we should get out. The majority (65 percent) of the American people want single-payer health care and are willing to pay more taxes to get it. The majority (86 percent) of the American people favor raising the minimum wage. The majority of the American people (60 percent) favor repealing Bush's tax cuts, or at least those that go only to the rich. The majority (66 percent) wants to reduce the deficit not by cutting domestic spending, but by reducing Pentagon spending or raising taxes.

The majority (77 percent) thinks we should do "whatever it takes" to protect the environment. The majority (87 percent) thinks big oil companies are gouging consumers and would support a windfall profits tax. That is the center, you fools. WHO ARE YOU AFRAID OF?

Man, we live in a country with a whole bunch of idiots or Molly Ivins lies...What are these sources?

And such wide flanks and shanks!

Good news, but we're still in the woods. Who do we have to beat her?

When I read the polls, I envisioned foxnews analysts Eleanor Clift/Geraldine Ferraro running to get to a microphone, but their silence is deafening.

Think Allen has the stuff to be president, if he has the stuff to beat her? He hasn't governed a big state (I'm inclined to prefer governors over senators--there's too much of the House of Lords in the Senate. ) Hasn't he just been a lawyer and a senator? I like not having a lawyer in the WH.

What about Haley Barbour? (Now someone's going to tell me he's a lawyer.) He seems to have done well by Mississippi.

She is only reporting results from the people who count (in her mind)

We'll know when she is really getting desperate when Anne Whatshername (Barney Frank's sister) and Lanny Davis come out of the woodwork to defend her on CNN and MSNBC.
