This also applies to some groups on the far right also. Idiotic lies like "Bush is no different than Clinton, no difference whatsoever..."

And much of the discourse about the Patriot Act.

And the way the far right attacked Miers. I'm glad Miers was withdrawn, and replaced with Alito, but the mothods some on the "right" used to attack her were disguisting.

Honesty and integrity has long been lacking from the extreme edges of political discourse.

However it seems to be getting more rare in general instead of just on the fringes.

The way Miers was promoted was just as bad as the way she was attacked. No angels in that one.

There is not NEARLY the evil on the right as on the left. What the right suffers from is the weakness of its leadership. Republican elected officials have shown some of the most spineless, craven caving I have ever seen. Once the left- democRATS- have been driven from all offices, it will THEN be time to deal with the wimps, the "mushy moderates" and the cavers.
