Just heard Fred Phelps, and his crew are coming to Man, West Virginia on Sunday.
The reporter interviewed many people in Man, including some folks at the local gun store. One of them suggested the protestors should be concerned about their own safety.
I wish we could get a crowd of freepers down to counter protest these pinhead racists. Even though I'm recuperating from a broken back, I really want to go down and scream at these ass hats.
I've got a press card, so I ought to be able to get pretty close and shoot some photos.
Anyone interested in showing up?
West Virginia folks are armed and dangerous. This may be the end of Phelps.
I always knew it, but this really proves Phelps and his cult are a bunch of loonies. Protesting the death of one of the miners!!?? What the hell for!?
Why?
Because they are a bunch of Democratic plants. That's why.
Somebody really ought to throw them in jail--at least for their disturbing the peace.
I think the police should deny protection on the grounds of the intent to provoke a public disturbance.
Also the people of WV should oil up their squirrel rifles.
Phelps is obviously squirrely and begging for a .22 in his ass.
I am not sure it would even take guns. Be that as it may, consider this.
Man is relatively small town.Ive been there.
A handful of scumbag protestors, versus 3-400 pissed off coal miners, at least 50 percent of whom have guns in their trucks.
I doubt the cops could really protect them for long if the mourners and their minions decided to run them outta town.
I know one thing. If it comes to pass,it will be fun to watch.
As one poster on a previous thread commented. Phelps arrives at these things demanding police protection in the company of an army of lawyers.
He is begging for a lawsuit so he can fill his pockets.
No police protection: lawsuit.
No permit: lawsuit.
Physical Injury: lawsuit.
Didn't get Ketchup with his Bacon and Eggs: lawsuit.
Not allowed to provoke a riot in order to defend his free speach rights: lawsuit.
No lawsuit: personal damages from being unable to provoke a lawsuit so: lawsuit.
Yeah, I heard they threatened to show up in Buckhannon too. *Obviously* they didn't. ;) Being 100% "hillbilly", I'll wager there's there's some debate of the merits of "wastin' lead" vs. tar'n'feathers vs. "boilin' oil".
Please point out to the media that this hatemonger is a Democrat.
Or the Klintoons. This is exactly their kind of thing. Remember, Bill's mentor was a virulent segregationist.
I think what Fred Phelps secretly desires is a stiff one. Maybe that will bring him to his senses.
Bind him, gag him, and make him watch Brokeback Mountain ad infinitum.

And at least one church in Buckhannon filed an immediate "restraining order". :) It seems to have worked.
A ride down the Hershey Highway you mean?
I think that's at the end of town..
Thankyou Mrs. Ranger.
I can go to sleep tonight knowing that there is a least one particle of sense in this world.
If he finds himself six feet under, and a lot deeper where he's heading...priceless!
