THe Republicans shouldn't jump on this as truth.

But they SHOULD call for immediate hearings in the congress, because of how serious this could be. If the report is TRUE, they should say, it means that Syria is holding a large cache of WMD, and we need to know that so we can put together a resolution to force them to turn it over to the international community.

This would be a much more important and necessary hearing, they would add, then even the hearings into the NSA stuff which don't threaten our country with mass destruction.

How would the Democrats argue AGAINST holding lengthy public hearings on this subject, without looking like they were playing politics with our security?
