The P38 was advanced for its day, but is awkward feeling to grasp in my hand. The Luger is the most comfortable feeling pistol there is.

True enough. That is why Bill Ruger copied the grip angle for the "Ruger Luger" .22LR semi-auto pistol which is the most comfortable feeling .22 pistol ever made.
