Good post and makes the points fairly well. This is the moment for Hamas to "shine". I don't think they will.
They are terrorists in need of smiting..
We can only hope. The support of funding coming from the US for the PLO over the years has been in large part what's kept them in power all these years.
Ariel Sharon gave back Gaza for peace...all he'll get from Hamas is more dead Jewish children. The "peace" settlement was a huge mistake...they think that Israel showed weakness.

Good post! This takes the HAMAS out from the shadows and puts them on center stage for everyone to see. They have to choose their own path and if they choose to continue their path of militancy and destruction of Israel, to paraphrase Indiana Jones movie -- they will choose poorly! In the end this could end up destroying HAMAS as organization as they come out of the shadows.
Hamas is nothing more than an arm of Iran. Israel now has to take out both.

I have said this many times......this was an exchange....the palestineans got gaza and israel got a barrel ( as in shooting fish in a barrel ) all the scum is now gathered in one place, for easy eradication if needed..............
Thanks for the post. As I said in a post earlier this a.m. on another thread, the election results will make it impossible for Europe to ignore. The Palestinian apologists will now have the reality of Islamic terrorists shoved down their throats. It cannot be ignored and the sidelines have narrowed.
This article boils down to simply saying Hamas will now have to live peacefully with Israel, or else the whole world will discover just how murderous Hamas really is. Hamas will have no more excuses for its own intentions and behavior.
So... What will all these previously ignorant nations/peoples of the world DO once they see Hamas really means it when they call for the extermination of the Jews? Wring their hands about all the dead Jews, and send in Jimmy Carter? (Actually, they probably won't care enough to wring their hands...)
I hate to say it, but the author was trying too hard to find a silver lining in this cloud. Anyone with eyes to see ALREADY knows Hamas is dedicated to the violent end of Israel, and that they really mean it. Making the obvious even MORE obvious is pointless.
Don't worry, the UN will come to their aid!
