If Condi modifies her views on abortion, she would be a great candidate in '08, and a great President beyond.

No surprise to me.

She'd clean Hillary's clock, forty-eight states out of fifty.

Her problem is she doesn't care about abortion.

She's made that abundantly clear.

Even if she changed her position at this point, who could then trust her on the protection of innocent human life?

Coburn/Brownback would be much closer to the Reagan ideal.

...sure, and most conservatives would call for her to make Rosie O'Donnell our new Secretary of Defense. ...and Hillary the top CIA administrator, and Barney Frank over DHHS,... The possibilities are endless.

The people who ought to run for President - MacArthur, Patton, Jean Kirkpatrick, William Buckley - never do.
That leave the ones who shouldn't - Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Bush 41
- And a series of completely out-of-left-field obscurities on the Dem side McGovern, Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Clinton, Algore & Kerry.

Why would the president's opinion on abortion matter? Roe v. Wade will eventually be chipped away at no matter what any president thinks, IMO.
