Hmm, and just how many American Presidents/Heroes are celebrated in statues in Mexico, where are they?

"Statues of Lincoln can be found in other countries. In Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, is a 13-foot high bronze statue, a gift from the United States, dedicated in 1966 by President Lyndon B. Johnson. The U.S. received a statue of Benito Juárez in exchange, which is in Washington, D.C. Juárez and Lincoln exchanged friendly letters, and Mexico remembers Lincoln's opposition to the Mexican-American War. There is also a statue in Tijuana, Mexico, showing Lincoln standing and destroying the chains of slavery."Article in Wikipedia

Plus, there is another statue of Lincoln in 'el parque Lincoln' in Mexico city and one of Martin Luther King

You'd think they'd put up a statue in honor of JFK as well, for returning El Chamizal (a piece of land in El Paso that had been in Mexico before the river changed course). I've been told that made President Kennedy a big hero in Mexico. Plus his being the first Catholic President of the US didn't hurt his image there.

Benito Mussolini was named for Benito Juarez...not that Juarez is to blame for any of the bad things Mussolini did...or owed any credit for getting the Italian trains to run on time.
