He is by FAR the best campaigner of any pubbie Prez wannabee. Everyone likes him personally, including die hard conservatives. He's smart enough to know that he'll need to lurch right on gays, guns and abortion to get the nomination. He'll have the confidence of the American people to finish out the WOT, and he'll talk tougher than even John McCain.

I'll admit, he does have a gift for persuasion and has a good record as both a tough prosecutor and as NYC Mayor. But did he profess to be anti-gun, pro-gays and pro-abortion just because he had to in order to make it in NY?

I've heard him speak several times and he got standing ovations. Yes, I was among those standing and applauding, but the primary topic was his views on opposing terrorism. (I give him extra points for being a cute East Coast Italian, which I find hard to resist.)
