An Alabama man who was part of a ring that shuttled drugs from Texas to his home state was executed just after 6 p.m. Wednesday in the states death chamber in Huntsville.
Marion Dudley was sentenced to die for the slayings of four people in Houston nearly 14 years ago.
His attorneys unsuccessfully sought a stay earlier Wednesday from the U.S. Supreme Court.
The 33-year-old inmate from Tuscaloosa, Ala. said he wasn't at the southwest Houston house the night of June 20, 1992 massacre.
Six people were shot that night, four of them fatally, in what authorities said was a drug dealer rip-off.
Killed were Jose Tovar; his 17-year-old stepson, Frank Farias, 17; Farias' pregnant 19-year-old girlfriend, Jessica Quinones, and 21-year-old neighbor Audrey Brown.

I'm disappointed in Texas. Here it is the 25th and that was the first one.

The one scheduled for the 19th was canceled by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.

They should have canceled it posthumously, on the 20th.

God rest his soul and the poor souls of his victims.......
but, I still believe in the deterrent value of the death penalty as well as other aspects of the system...

I wonder how many people have been murdered in Texas so far this year. Pretty good number in Houston, many by people from New Orleans.

I don't really know but it's got to be quite a few. I didn't mean to sound critical of Texas though, they're one of a few states that executes the turkeys.

Marion Duudley has no one but himself to blame. If he had been wrongly accused, it would have been proven long before now.
