Oh dear, I just read the beginning and the end. If I had read before, I wouldn't have bothered to respond on the thread at all. Wow! Thank you for directing my attention.

Unfortunately those loans are guaranteed by FMTD (screw my tax dollars). If the bank was held liable, they would reconsider.
I actually recall the days when I called the banker to say we were buying something and he said ok, I'll cover the check, why don't you come over some time next week and we'll take care of it. That all stopped after the former George Bush's savings and loans problem. Previously, my word and good credit meant something.
I am assuming of course that you brought up this problem because you agree. Had a strange thought, perhaps you agree with claw??? Please say no.... :^)
