I thought bupkis was yiddish for 'nothing'. I guess I stand corrected on the definition, but somehow it all seems to fit Franken anyway.

bupkis=Yiddish for "farts" Really? I looked it up in Leo Rosten once and found that it really meant something like "goat pills". Slightly more substantial, but still not much. Metaphorically, it means "nothing".
