(SCOTTSDALE, AZ) January 24, 2006 Chris Simcox, President of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) today expressed outrage over the incident yesterday in Texas when heavily armed Mexican soldiers were allowed to retreat to their country after being caught in a massive drug smuggling operation inside the United States.

Overblown, but not untrue...
Chertoff is a meathead. Since when do foreign troops enter the US and it's an event described as "overblown?"
I just heard on Fox News that there is an armed stand off going on between border patrol and men dressed in Mexican Army uniforms. It remains to be seen if they are real Mexican military or fakes in uniform.
Were they really Mexican soldiers? Or smugglers dressed as Mexican soldiers?
Yes and if Mexico doesn't respect the border, we should replace their government with one that does.
Would that be like "accurate, but fake?"
Does it matter? They crossed the border illegally, and were armed...!
I'd say so.
Uniforms? They don need no stinkin uniforms.
More like, we don't deny it but please don't talk about it so much?
Yep! Disgusting.

I think it SHOULD be considered an invasion.
Fox's response to the wall proposal was itself 'off the wall.' He believes we Americans do not have the right to prevent Mexicans from immigrating illegally by building a wall. It's important to set him straight. Mexico might voluntarily become a conduit for bad guys to enter this country. We're long overdue to build walls, above and below, coast to coast.
How about Mexican soldiers working for the smugglers? Too many possibilities and too little information. We need our folks to capture some of these people and their vehicles to see who they really are.
Chertoff, and Ridge too for that matter, remind me of Clinton appointees. I suppose that is a reflection of the importance the President attaches to the multibillion dollar boondoggle known as the Department of Homeland Security.
And one more thing -- this incident should prove that the Government either has given up on the so-called "War on Drugs", or it was just another taxpayer scam, in the first place. Or maybe Tax Fraud is a better term. Once it is suddenly not a war on a general term for a class of inanimate objects, now that we see that there are real scumbags involved, suddenly they can't seem to find the belly to prosecute it anymore. I ought to take up cocaine again. It's so cheap it's practically free.
The Great Illegal Alien Invasion has brought the fraudulent nature of the WOD into clear focus.
"Does it matter?"
Yes. It matters, if you are going to use the term "invasion". Otherwise, they're just armed criminals trying to sneak across the border, and it's not an invasion or an act of war.
