If it's the one Rumsfeld was talking about today -- the one he said wasn't finished.

But I think there is another "report" out there sponsored by the Democrats.

Would that be the same Arlen Specter who has shepherded Bush's two most recent court nominees through the senate?

And who favors 1) Congress punting social issues to the courts, and 2) the SCOTUS decision in Rasul, that granted habeas corpus rights to enemy combatants held at Gitmo.

Specter can do okay, but he's no prize. He's got a couple qualified Circuit Court judicial nominations bottled up in his committee for about a year now.

Toomey lost by less than a percent in swing vote. He would have handily beaten Hoeffel in the general election. Bush and Santorum succumbed to party protocol....placing it above principle. I won't reward that with my vote.

In a blue state like California, New York, or Pennsylvania, you don't put principle above party just to keep Democrats out of power or by electing Conservatives.

Yes...I am....I saw the headline, but didn't read the article...(I know..I am ashamed)...

I know that Rummy was getting blasted with questions about it today....and that there was a presser earlier today...and Sen. Reed was commenting on it.

What do you know about it??? PLEASE HELP!!! LOL

Oh jeez......you're on to me!

Dividing the voters of PA by posting facts that are easily confirmed at thomas.loc.gov (S.1750)......or by doing a google search on things like "Santorum" and "Minimum Wage" or "Santorum" and "Trigger Locks".......

Yup....that's me.......waving inconvenient facts that MIGHT just make members of the electorate think twice if they focused on the totality of the circumstances....Might just wake them up to the fact that Santorum is NOT the conservative he pretends to be or that he would like us to believe that he is. He's a fraud.

I plead GUILTY as charged.

Those numbers should have given these people all a little start, but then the hard-core abortionists are on the far left and that is where their money is coming from, isn't it?

I plead GUILTY as charged.

That's really not necessary; we're not quite as stupid as you think we are.

Please edit my #1754, as follows:

"If the Constitution is the people's document, and if it--as it has been considered to be--is the protector of the people's liberty and rights," ---should read:

"If the Constitution is the people's document, then it is the protector of the people's liberty and rights."

Sorry!

Will Lieberman dare go against the tide twice? A huge question, isn't it? I heard the Dims are already planning to run a lefty against him.

Toomey hailed from a Democratic district......yet he won handily. He would have won the state....and added a solid conservative vote to the Senate Majority...and removed cantankerous Arlen, who you can't count on for anything. It was the most STUPID move I've ever seen.
