Thank you for relating the problems you have had with your mother-in-law. My 86-year old mom was in a Beaumont nursing home but was able to get out with my sister's help to my brother's home near Lufkin. While there the area lost power for over a week in the sweltering heat of east Texas. To make matters worse, my mom not being used to a new place, tripped over a rug and fell against a brick hearth, badly struck her head and broke her arm. She has not recovered nor has she yet resumed walking. We expect that we have lost her from this incident. It's been pretty bad. My mom's last sibling died on Monday so I'm not sure my mom knows this yet. Sorry for bending your ear with this long story but my prayers are with you and your family.

I'm sorry to learn about your MIL's fall. It seems the older a person becomes the less able they are when it comes to handling changes in their life. Even small changes can have a negative impact, huge changes, like a hurricane brings can be devistating.
I'll keep her and your family in my prayers.
