Mayor's remark spawns T-shirt craze - Nagin's says New Orleans will again be a "chocolate city"

I still am so outraged over his remarks. Now someone is making a buck off of his ignorant remarks. If a white person had said this, oh the outrage of the blacks and ACLU.

I had caught his remarks on the news, have to say, those standing with him looked mighty uncomfortable after he said those remarks.

There is no excuse.

I guess he just doesn't want white folks moving into his town. He does not want diversity. He wants it to be the way it was before the hurricane.

I can say this, he is leaving a bitter feeling in folks and he is in public office I am tired of him saying he is human and he makes mistakes.

I think they will have to come up with a new name for N.O. Chocolate City is taken. There's a town right here in WI that is called The Chocolate City because they make Nestlie
Bars there. The name of the city is Burlington, and that is also the city that used to host the Burlington Liar's Club long ago.

I do not understand the demographics of that part of the state. However, my understanding is that that many Americans are making contributions. Given that the black population in America is 13%, then the remainder is 87%. Ergo, based upon Nagin's statement, then 83% of Americans should be pi$$ed off. Nagin is a jerk. And, quite frankly, with the lootings, corruption, murders, rapes, the town can sink. The man... nevermind. /rant
