Talk is cheap...he needs to get them down there now! Oh I forgot he is Iraq...He will get my vote if he has the stuff to actually put the national guard on the border in numbers large enough to stop the illegal immigration and smuggling.
Actually, that photo was taken on the day of our final exams. Those of us who survived advanced to the next grade.
Guess the boys at Ft Hood could come out and get some live fire exercise experience. That might reduce 'innocent mistakes'.
I'm going to revise my solution. Instead of 3 million "bouncing betty" land mines, up it to 20 million.

Even before the advent of GPS, it was a *very* rare occurrence, as higher command *really* frowned on tactical units straying into the territory of a sovereign nation and possibly causing "an international incident". Those officers who did so were usually relieved of command, and their military careers would come to a sudden, drastic halt.
These days, with GPS for land navigation purposes, it's for all intents and purposes impossible for a US military unit to inadvertantly stray across the border...

The roadblocks are State Department folks alright, but it is *not* due to lack of spine, but something more sinister, it's due to "the advancement of the agenda" (one-world government, whether *you* like it, or not)...

Sure, but the question begs, why? Why put a single one of our troops in harm's way unecessarily? A couple of 81 mm's from a half-mile or so out does the job just fine, and the only one risked *might* be the forward observer...

I called my senators and congressman about this today.
Congressman Wolf's office had the decency to sound interested. His aide asked for the address to the referenced article and took my personal information. He's been involved in the battle to combat MS-13, so this issue may be nearer to his heart.
Allen's and Warner's offices gave me the standard, "I'll pass along your concerns."
Me: Hi. I'm calling to let you know there's foreign military presence on our soil. This is a bad thing and I'm unhappy about it.
Them: *yawn* I'll let him know.
I don't call my senators often so I'm not sure what I should expect when I do. Is it SoP for Senator's aides to sound disinterested in whatever issue you call about?
Perry better make some noise along the border because I'll guarantee you the tough little grandma running against him will be down there with the Minutemen this summer. He's prettier than she is, but she is a lot meaner!
