Chertoff's lack of action or interest is very understandable --- They were all Mexicans, therefore it would be racist and/or profiling to defend our border. (sarcasm)

When is Presidente Jorge Arbusto going to remember to do his sworn duty?

U.S. Constitution Article 4 Section 4:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,

and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"

Invasion: \In*va"sion\, n. [L. invasio: cf. F. invasion. See Invade.] [1913 Webster]

I do wonder what the disconnect is with the Feds and actual border security. I would understand it if the dems were in control- they would probably set up welcome stations, but we are in charge now.

Mark my words, it's only a matter of time until we send troops in for nation building.

Drones. A couple of dozen drones flying along the border with bombs that go boom.

Also, spray the border with a material or powder that can be tracked. Then you follow the tracks day and pick up the bandidos.

The disconnect is that most of our "leaders" support the creation of the "North American Community," with one common security border around Canada, Mexico and the USA.

IOW, they support leaving our security up to the same Mexican Army which is up to its ears in drug smuggling!

It may be insane, but it's a fact. That's why they will never build a serious security fence. Why build a fence, when your goal is to erase the border? A fence runs 180*counter to their plan.

""The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government."

Well then we better get cracking because those Democrat forms of government are bankrupting us.

That would be nice and fluffy if we had a stable country to our south. Let them improve their own situation first, becoming a self sufficient country that is able to help us defend our interests, then we'll talk.

Thanks Mr. Chamberlain, that's very reassuring. It's good to know that the policy of appeasement followed by the previous and current Texas Governors, and the current President and the DHS are still in place.

Well, considering that Bush has made stern statements that illegal immigration is of no problem, I don't think he ever will take the issue seriously.

Let 'em get a few miles inside the border then send in a company of infantry to cut them off. Next stop Gitmo.
Will that be filafel or frijoles Fernando?

Next uniformed incursion is fired on!

Unbelievable! The mounted machine guns 200 yards inside the border was to cover a hurried retreat if needed. This was mos assuredly a Mexican military operation.
