Someone who is a practicing Catholic please explain how a married man cohabitating with a single woman and having children by her gets his marriage consecrated by the Catholic Church.

He's not married. He's a widower. Perhaps he's converted to Catholicism (someone says he was Lutheran) and repented?

The new wife, however, sure seems to have placed herself outside Catholic teaching being divorced, knocked up by Michael, etc.

Were they continuing to live together before the marriage? Sure does seem something very strange here.

Mike and Jodi lived together for many years prior to their wedding and had two children. Mike refused to divorce Terri even though he claimed she was no longer alive.

"He's not married. He's a widower."

Caseinpoint was referring to Michael when he WAS married to Terri and living with Jodi, and NOW gets married in the Catholic Church. Caseinpoint can't understand how a priest could perform that "marriage", and I can't understand it, either.

Presuming Michael is the father of the children, he was 'outside Catholic teaching' as well. I guess they both needed to repent that one.
