To: Ma3lst0rm

Someone posted here that in the grand scheme it won't mean much because the Senate wil remain liberal, courts are packed with liberals, etc. They've had eleven years or so to stack the courts. Can any Canadians shed light on this?

To me it seems the Tories have to start somewhere, might as well start with the lower chamber.

Yeah that is true but it will take incrementalism to change things. Conservatives need to win a big enough to be able to prove themselves. If they can push through meaningful tax cuts they will be on the right track. We have to remember Canada is slightly bigger than the US with less than 40 million people which is making places like British Columbia key to this election.
