Justice served (finally).
The first time it was prosecuted was in state court, in Ithaca. There, the Ithaca jury refused to convict (hung jury).
Fortunately, however, because the crime occurred at a military recruiting center, the case was dismissed in state court and transferred to a federal court in Binghamton.
Away from the City of Evil, a jury convicted.
Good!
Should be twelve months in solitary confinement, no tv, just peanut butter sandwhiches and water. Forced hard labor to pay for his room and board. When he gets out, parachute him into the hills of Afghanistan. He has to fold the primary chute. No reserve chute.
That sounds about right. The ACLU would make a fuss about the "no reserve chute," tho. ; ^ )
'Did not go there for evil"? The judge is an idiot!
I never stated the sentence was not appropriate.
I pointed out the judges words. They did go to the recruiting station with an evil intent. They followed up on their intent with actions. And for the judge to think different is idiotic!
I'll buy that. But it's also possible that the judge said that to settle the guy down just before he put him in the slammer for 6 months. Motive is not required.
Shows how dumb the moonbats are.
