>>>No greater assault on the Constitution and the ownership of private property can be seen than the Kelo decision.

I missed the part where ANY member of the Democratic Party came out strongly against Kelo before public opinion did. You seem to imply that having Democrats in charge would get Kelo overturned or legislated against. If you could present a scintilla of evidence that this would be the case, you would, perhaps, offer a valid point.

You got it! This was a way of posting an Opus without the requirement to leave FR. The only thing missing is "the GOP used to be a lot more civil, but now the flame wars have gotten out of hand".

That was exquisite. Are you quoting an author? Did you author this?

So, you agree with Mr. Hammer's position?

I, for one, do not.

This is a ch__ch. What's missing?

I guess I should have gotten out of the Republican Party about 15 years ago when G. Bush got elected on "No New Taxes" and then, in a closed-room deal to get authorization from the Dem Congress to authorize the war in Kuwait/Iraq, gave them a tax increase.

But then, had I done that, GW would not have won and we would now be in our 6th year of Al Gore.....The inventor of the internet.... what a socialist crappola world it would be.

Nope. Sorry, not gonna give up the fight. Thanks for the inspirational call to hold firm in the face of opposition though... (NOT!)

From reading your laundry list, is it fair to say you watch Lou Dobbs every day?

Are YOU Lou Dobbs?

Probably not, the paragraph on immigration would have dominated your complaints.

>>>>Look at the price of gold and energy;

Gold and energy react to supply and demand the same way the price of Corn Flakes does. If you show me the plan to either
A) completely replace the current fleet of gasoline vehicles with a fleet that runs on cow s--t,

or

B) enjoin China, India and Brazil from using fossil fuels until the price drops back to where it was when Diamond Shamrock sold gas for $0.17/gal, without provoking WWIII, I'm right there with you.

I know your frustration at the Party because I'm there myself. I do think that the Party has made some terrible missteps, but we can't throw the baby out with the bath water. They heard us on Meirs, and they will be moving to the base as quickly as possible in 06. At least for myself, when I look at both political parties, I can't believe that we would be better off with demoncrats running things. I will give less money to the national organizations, and will instead give directly to conservative candidates by way of Club For Growth. I will however support the Republican Party against a grave threat to our nation called the demoncrat party.

And Lou Dobbs probably wouldn't put apostrophes in simple plurals.

Nor do I. But, me thinks many of his "ilk" will be showing up on this thread and elsewhere. It's a call "to arms", IMHE. These faux "conservatives" have their methods and plans... Be interesting to see how many are here in FR.

Good point. If you check this poster's recent posts, you will notice he keeps posting the same letter on various threads. I question such motives....

I am astounded by the attacks on this guy's position. I do not agree completely with him, for example I support the patriot act but he is pretty much dead on with the rest.

It appears there is a large group of Republicans who are not the least bit conservative, just Republicans.

Note this guy is not supporting the Dems, just wanting the Republicans to do at least a little of what they are supposed to stand for.

I've been a Republican for years, and I was never issued a Membership Card. What gives? How do I get a Membership Card?
