If you look at the projected Torie pickups in Ontario, they are hinterland and smaller city ridings. There isn't any nut cracking in Greater Toronto that I noticed, and the late swing to the Liberals in SW Ontario, eroding the previous big swing to the Tories, shut the Tories out of London.

This Canadian election outside Quebec reminds me so much of US politics, that it is downright frightening.

Like I've said before, I think there's the GTA 905 and the greater 905. The Conservatives are polling slightly better in the GTA 905 than the 416, but since there's no real NDP support to check the Liberals, the Liberals are further ahead in the total GTA 905 riding numbers. The full 905 numbers should be slightly better.

That's the only way I can explain it. I ran a quick spreadsheet check. I don't think it's a typo.

It must be like New York City after the 2004 election. All the lefties were deeply, deeply saddened the day after the election. I hope most Toronto residents are walking with their heads down tomorrow morning, like New Yorkers were that day!

905 will be fun to watch. Somebody has it wrong, very wrong. I suspect the Tories will get 122 seats. That is my out of my ass prediction.

My ass is golden, it looks like. :)
